A country which prays for what we receive....

With the flood waters continuing to appear in our recent weather patterns, I hope to add a positive outlook to what we see and know as inconvenient or even 'disastrous.'

With the natural fertilisers of the silt, or as we call it mud, the land is refreshed with minerals and vitamins of natural substance.

Silt exists normally deposited at the bottom of a waters body, a mix between sand and clay derived from soil or rock.

Many studies world wide show the advantages of silt for crop growth this organic fertiliser far excels our usual chemical alternatives.

Silt has advantages in moisture conservation, water holding capacity as well as increasing the aeration and porosity of the soil for better root growth.

In India, a well established farming land, they are looking at the silt advantages logistically but also practice a spiritual ceremony named 'Agnihotra'. 'Agnihotra', is where offerings are made into a fire at sunrise and sunset. The ceremony is believed to help balance the cycle of nature and nourish the human life.

In other words...the ceremony is a prayer to the gods to nourish our land, to provide us with food to eat.

I know in life we can loose our material objects or homes we have worked so hard for but the cycle of mother nature is truly beautiful and natural is always best, lets not forget.

We share and send our thoughts to all of the people who experience floods.

I hope you will also share the positive thought....Thank you Mother Nature for nourishing our land......their prayers have been heard in our country!
